If there is one song that became the theme song for the Nations Calling conference this year, it was Lindy Conant’s song “Every soul”. Traveling back to Poland, after some amazing days in Bergen, I could hear the chorus being repeated in my head:
Jesus you, you're worth it all
It was almost like God had pushed the repeat button to make sure that I got the message.
Europe is on the verge of a new revival and even though there are many dark numbers when it comes to Christianity in Europe I believe God is looking at the potential and not the problems. Let’s start talking to the mountain about how great our God is, rather than speaking to God about how big the mountain in.
From the first meeting on Friday evening I felt there was an expectancy in the air and a “here am I, send me!” attitude in the hearts of many of the people. Dag Rane preached about our calling and I believe this released a hunger in those who were there - a longing to step into the call God had for them. This was confirmed as several people came forward after the prayer to share about the countries God had put on their hearts.
Fire and Fragrance
We were also blessed to have YWAM’s Fire and Fragrance team leading the worship. After all, what is more fitting than having a YWAM team leading the worship at a mission conference?
As many probably already know, YWAM has been a pioneer when it comes to sending out both missionaries and short-term mission teams and the latest years it seems that more and more ministries are starting to focus more on Europe. I do believe God is starting to stir up a new passion for reaching this continent with the Gospel and I feel blessed to be able to take part in what God is doing.
As Nations Calling we want to train, equip and send out those who are willing to go and our prayer is that God will start to speak to you.
If not now - then when?
The Lord of the Harvest is asking “Whom shall I send, and who will go”. Now let us pray that many new workers will say “Yes!” to God’s call.
