February 6th I arrived at the Airport in Lublin. A lot has been happening these few days I have been in Poland and I am really looking forward to the 5 mouths I am gonna stay here in Lublin.

Saturday the 7th I went to a youth meeting in the church “Charisma”. This is a group of people who really are hungry for God and act on what God tells them to do.

Mission week

Last week most of the youth group had winter holiday and they used their vacation for evangelizing in Lublin. Each morning we met in church and began our day in prayer and worship. We listened to what God had on his heart and then went out on street and talked with people.

We have experienced people getting healed and we have seen people getting touched by the love of God. And the best experience we had was to see three girls realizing God’s existence and seeing them giving their lives to Christ.

Giving food to the homeless

On Tuesday there was this holiday called “Fat Tuesday”, which is a day they have once a year, where everyone eats “pączki” which looks a lot like donuts.

The youth were giving “pączki” to the homeless on this day.  One guy saw this, and gave 100 złuty to the youth group, so they could bless even more food to the homeless.

For 100 złuty you can buy a lot of soup! So we bought soup and bread and went out to a place in Lublin where there is a lot of homeless people.

These people were so thankful and we have had really good conversations with some of them. We heard stories about their lives and childhood. Even though some of them were really heartbreaking stories and we saw where life has brought them I felt hope for their lives.

There is hope

I feel hope for everyone who is living on the planet earth. I have seen too many lives been transformed to lose hope for anyone. It does not matter what you have experiences in life, how big your problems are or how much sin you have committed. There is always hope in God!

In the Bible we have a lot of examples of lives which are totally changed by God’s love. Paul who has written most of the books in the New Testament is a really good example on God’s power to change the hearts of people.

Paul was persecuting all Christians and had killed a lot of them, but God changed his heart and made him a man who would do anything to see more people give their lives to Christ.

God also can change and heal the hearts of the people of Lublin and I am really looking forward to see lives being transformed by God in this city.
