Two and a half hours drive from our base in Lublin there was a small churchhungry for the gospel of God to get out in a bigger city called Rzeszów. It was a very interesting group the age-range was from young teenagers to grey-haired men.
The team from Nations Calling all had some different people with them on the streets and here some of them shares what happened..
I (Line) had two young girls out on the streets for the first time, even though there was a little barrier with the language we had a good time and I think they really experienced a cool breakthrough. I encouraged them to jump out of their comfortzone (described with good body-language and poor english). After a couple of rejections we met an older gentleman sitting on a bench in a small park. He looked very friendly compared to the others we have tried talking to. The polish girls started a conversation with him as you can see in the photo below.. (testimony continues under the photo)
even though I barely understood a word of what they said, according to their bodylanguage and smiles it was a good conversation. They even got to pray for him , which he wanted to pay for, but kindly said no to, Jesus is free. The conversation continued for a good 20 min and we even gave him a little bible he could read later on. Right before we left I asked if I could take some photos. And as you can see, they were all fine with :) (more testimonies under)
Me (Michael) and a boy called Szymon were walking around in Rzeszów to find some we could talk to. When we had walked a little we meet a group of young people standing and talking at a shop. We asked them if they believe in God. One of them was really open, but most of them was really skeptical. But after I'd shared some testimonies, one of the most skeptical actually asked me if I could pray for his girlfriend that had astma. I said "yes, of course" and asked him to call her after we'd prayed for her. We prayed for her. He called her and asked how she felt. She told him that something had happen. First she felt worse, but then she felt normal. For me this shows that God is out of our boxes and He can touch the people we pray for even if there is a distance. What I think was the funniest was that it happened to one of the most skeptical guys.
Elin Maria had two young girls with her out on the street to kick-start and there was also time for encouraging them, speaking into their lives and see what God did through them in the time we had evangelizing.
This small team met a lady who walking with a crutch and she told them she had some problems with her hips and that she thinking about to getting surgery done. She also believed that God could do great things and we were also allowed to pray for her.
While praying for her she experienced that something was happening with her body. She still felt some pain after two prayers, but something powerful had happened through the prayer. Everyone praying for her also felt the power of God over her. The lady was encouraged and touched, but so were the girls praying for her!
All in all, it was a good day. The feedback was great and people was encouraged!
