Early on Friday the 7th of October we left Lublin and headed for Hungary. We drove almost the entire day to come to Debrecen, where the plan was to have a two-day conference arranged by a Bible school for Romani people. Since we chose not to use the highways we ended up going through Ukraine. This had not been planned and we were actually quite surprised when we came to the Ukrainian border. We wondered why there was such a long line of cars waiting but when we asked the security guard we realized why. The conference was scheduled to be on Saturday and Sunday, but in two different locations. We got to spend time with some of the students and their families, and the Romani people are truly beautiful and their hearts are open wide for God. Ronald did the main teaching and the rest of the team helped with both teaching, ministering with prayer and words of knowledge. People got saved, healed, delivered and encouraged. The leaders were very happy and said that the teaching was like “water in the desert”. It was a blessing for us to minister to them, but we also learned a lot from them. On both days God showed His love to them and people got empowered to be sons and daughters of the King of Kings. They were eager to receive more from God and many got baptized in the Holy Spirit. Romani people worship God with a passionate heart and it was hard not to dance to their beautiful music. It is very fascinating to see even elderly people both dance and clap their hands during the worship and I believe we have a lot to learn from them in this respect. Both days we got to eat the original Hungarian meal, goulash, and it was awesome. The first day we got it with pork and a thick slice of the original Hungarian bread, and the second day with beef straight from the pot, cooked outside in the fresh air - as you can see in the picture.
It was magnificent :) thank you Hungarian people for showing us your love :) God was present in Hungary among all those beautiful people. He is faithful and wants to love us everywhere and deliver us from every bondage. God is very good and we are grateful for a safe and amazing trip to Hungary.
